The Web Design Process
Tony Paterson designs various types of websites to suit the needs of many different customers. Basically there are 2 main types, static information-based sites and e-commerce sites that include shopping cart technology and databases.
Tony offers maintenance plans and even personal tuition if required. Talk to him about your wishes, your business plans, and your vision of the future, to see how your site might fit your strategies.
Gather your images, logo, text and any other elements you want to have on your website together, ready to be placed on your website. Select a website type (whether static brochure-style or an online order/sales facility.)
Tony will commence work on the design of your website upon agreement and receipt of a deposit. He will show you the design of your website within 7 days and make any adjustments before proceeding with the remainder of the website. Adjustments to the initial design in the first 7 days are included in the price. Once you are happy with the design, Tony completes the rest of the website according to your wishes.
Once you are happy with the website and have paid the balance payment for the website, it can be uploaded to the main directory of the client's web space for public viewing.
Tony's Web Design Philosophy
He tries to give his websites a balance of usability and aesthetic design. He realises that your business wants to stand out from your competitors with a great looking website, though he never overlooks the importance of usability, that is, how easy it is for your visitors to use your website.
All web users at some point have been frustrated at not being able to find what they want on a website, as a result of poor navigation design or the design of the overall website itself. Frustrating your visitors with your website generally means they will leave it, resulting in losses of sales and/or business dealings. Not to mention the bad first impression they take with them.
Tony Paterson ensures that your website is functional and useful to both you and your customers. A well designed, easy to use website can make all the difference in bringing targeted customers to you. Design standards are constantly changing, with new and exciting developments being introduced almost hourly. Designers love them.
Unfortunately the "next big thing" usually results in sites that are not functional without plugins on clients' machines. Sadly for the owners of these sites, many customers do not even bother to look. They go and browse sites that are easier for them to access. Tony Paterson sticks with tried and proven technology that is compatible with the majority of web users, not just the designers and "techno junkies" who worship everything new. This ensures your website is accessible to as many people as possible.
